busy busy busy

Whew, things have been whirling around here!  I've been working on oodles of new paintings and prints, finishing up the final sketches for my first children's book (published through Putnam), and working on special projects for different companies that I can't wait to see released.  And on top of it all, I'm happy to announce the opening of RambleWild, our new shop of floral and naturalish prints.  There are only a few listing up as of yet, but many, many more are on their way.

I really enjoy painting in this style.  I love painting baby animals, but it has been a little fun to mix up the usual painting projects with a dash of wildflowers.

Globes, maps, charts...no matter what era they're from, their very appearance is enough to inspire thoughts of "far away places with strange sounding names," and incidents of high adventure.   

One can never have too many globes right?  Especially when they are as beautiful as these.

I was so excited when I happened upon this fantastic tutorial.  It''ll make the perfect summer project, I can just imagine a oodles of these hanging around the house.

Well, with spring officially underway, it seems like a little, delayed "March Madness" is setting in; I'm developing an unmistakable itch to go a-gypsing to far off lands...or even for an ocean view.  Actually, now that I think of it, as long as I can get out of the house, that'll work.

Of course, if I did go for a jaunt around the world, I'd be sure to pack this
